Today, a part of the NOVIMOVE – smart & sustainable waterways team is present at the Transport Research Arena (TRA) in Dublin.
The TRA is widely appreciated as one of the largest and most important transport congresses in Europe. All modes of transport are represented. NOVIMOVE is competently representing the inland navigation sector and is located in the maritime pavilion, together with fellow innovation projects, in a setting professionally designed by the team from WaterborneTP. Compliments for that!
Videos of the two recent NOVIMOVE – smart & sustainable waterways demonstrations, namely the new ship designs to deal with fluctuating water levels, and the demonstration of the Smart Navigation System, are playing at the stand, and are attracting a lot of interest.
Peter Shobayo from the University of Antwerp will provided a presentation of NOVIMOVE – smart & sustainable waterways research results related to cargo consolidation. The results about the effect are promising and could increase the amount of transported cargo by several percentage points.
